Ho un po' di problemi con inn2 quindi per ora ho ripiegato su un piu' "tranquillo" leafnode.

gli altri free li trovo.
manca tutta la gerarchia it-alt
il server rispnde alla richieste dei messaggi così: (Capito una cippa!  )
This server is running leafnode, which is a dynamic NNTP proxy.
This means that it does not retrieve newsgroups unless someone is
actively reading them.
If you do an operation on a group - such as reading an article,
looking at the group table of contents or similar, then leafnode
will go and fetch articles from that group when it next updates.
Since you have read this dummy article, leafnode will retrieve
the newsgroup free.it.discussioni.enel when fetchnews is run
the next time. If you'll look into this group a little later, you
will see real articles.
If you see articles in groups you do not read, that is almost
always because of cross-posting. These articles do not occupy any
more space - they are hard-linked into each newsgroup directory.
If you do not understand this, please talk to your newsmaster.

Il programma server installato sulla macchina si prende solo gli aggiornamenti dei newsgroup effettivamente richiesti dai suoi utenti.
Quando visualizzi quel messaggio (c'è pure scritto) significa che stai cercando un gruppo che non era tra quelli che il server si scaricava, ma dato che l'hai richiesto in futuro lo scaricherà. In sostanza, attendi e ti sarà dato.

A dirla tutta la cosa non è stupida, nel senso che l'utente non necessariamente sa l'inglese.
Non c'è l'internazionalizzazione del software, almeno per quei messaggi che hanno a che fare con gli utenti?

Sbaglio o va solo con connessione a e4a? Dall'ufficio (Connessione con la concorrenza... ) non scarica una cippa, mentre a casa va come una bomba.

do per scontato di si è uso comune abilitare il news server solo dalla propria rete interna, onde evitare MOLTI problemi.
