poi oggi ho scoperto ddwrt da gui, e vi saluto

imho... hanno target diverso ...
un discorso è l'utente medio che vuole la mascherina web che lo guida, un'altra è un'interfaccia carattere che "devisaperequellochefai" 
io avevo visto prima dd-wrt e ne ero rimasto favorevolmente colpito, poi quando ho cominciato a smanettare un attimo, ho trovato un'architettura, che per le mie necessita, è limitante, quindi ho abbracciato openwrt 
ripeto, sono entrambi sistemi più che validi, semplicemente si rivolgono a target diversi

ho flashato un paio di Fonera per fare dei test..
risultato: access point spettacolari a dieci euro!

a 5/10 euro solo la prima, se non ricordo male ..., le altre le paghi 30/40 euro + trasporto.... ricordo bene???

IMHO se devo spendere 50 euro (trasporto compreso) per una fonera, prendo un wrt54gl che puo fare anche da fonera, ma è tutta un'altra macchina

Non è un po' discutibile approfittare di tal prezzo nel contesto di un'iniziativa con determinati scopi e poi usarli per sé?
Si va a minare un po' quelli che sono i fondamenti del progetto.

comunque sembra che le ultime "la fonera", siano bloccate

ad arrivarti, impiega dai 4 ai 10 giorni lavorativi.
se funziona bene? funziona stra-bene!
per farti un esempio veloce veloce:
casa mia e casa di un mio amico
due fonere, una io ed una lui
distanza tra le abitazioni circa duecento metri
nessun ostacolo nel mezzo
fonere con l'antenna originale
si linkano perfettamente
ovviamente non a 54mbps
